BLACK RUST SHROUD
SPRING WHEAT BELT AFFECTED. 50 PER- CENT. REDUCTION FORECAST By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.30 pan.. New York, July 25. Black rust has shrouded the spring wheat belt so darkly that observers forecast a 50 per cent, reduction in the original estimate of 275,000,000 bushels from the great grain belt, says a message from St Paul, Minnesota. Rust has run westward from Minnesota through North and South Dakota into Montana and only a .quick change from the hot humid weather can halt its spread.
