Two brothers, Ernest and Reginald Whitcombe, with aggregates of 292, tied in the Irish open golf championship at Newcastle, County Down. A replay takes place on July-26 over 36 holes. Kenyon, the winner in 1931 and 1932, v.as second with 293. He led by three strokes at the end of the third round. He turned in the fourth with 36 and needed 38 to win, but crumpled up, taking 40.
