CULT OF NUDISTS
LONDON CLUBS FLOURISH.
CURIOUS MAN’S EXPERIENCE.
(By Air Mail—Special to'News.) . London, June 27. Though outdoor nudist activities, even in secluded localities, have' not been quite a success, chiefly owing to local prejudice, it is said indoor cults' flourish well enough in London suburbs. There is one at Brixton and another at Finchley, so that nudism is catered for both in South and North London. At these nudist clubs, which are held in ordinary suburban houses, members meet, undress and carry on just as in any ordinary suburban club, except that physical jerks, under a woman instructor, vary the routine of‘talk, table tennis, sandwiches and coffee and debates. The company is mixed, men and women, and, so far as one can ascertain, quite decorous. The genuine nudist takes the cult very seriously, -the theory being that free respiration to the pores of the skin is vital to perfect health. A friend, who got himself introduced out of curiosity, assured me his clothes embarrassed him a great deal more than their complete nudity did the nudists.
