WATERLOO CUP WON
WANGANUI COURSING SUCCESS. TARANAKI. DOGS IN MINOR EVENTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. The New Zealand Waterloo Cup was won by Rhodesia (Wanganui) on the Hamilton Coursing Club’s grounds this afternoon. The inclement weather conditions, which affected the attendance, did not prevent excellent courses. In the final Rhodesia defeated Father Emerson (Waihi) after a no course and an undecided course. While Father Emerson was unlucky, the victor was clearly the better dog in the final, winning seven points to nil. In the New Zealand Waterloo Purse and the Waterloo Plate the five dogs to qualify for the second rounds divided the stake as the result of adverse weather conditions. Those to divide the stake in. the. Purse were: Broughshane (Hamilton), Blue Wings (Hamilton), Master Magra (Auckland), Beauty Terms (Wanganui) and Masher (Patea). In the Waterloo Cup they were: Scrooge (Patea), Black Pearl (Waihi), Bold Spec (Hamilton), Mosquito Girl (Eltham), Fairy Footsteps (Te Aroha).
