£60,000 TO FIGHT BILL
AMERICAN PUBLIC UTILITIES. OPPOSITION TO CONTROL PLAN. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, July 12. Expenditure of more than £60,000 by the power industry in an effort to defeat the provision of the Utilities Bill for mandatory abolition of unnecessary holding companies was described to the Senate Lobby Committee by Mr. Philip H. Gadsden, chairman of the committee of public utility executives, which was formed last winter to fight the measure.
