DUFF CUP COMPETITION
SENIOR CONTEST BEGINS SOCCER FOOTBALL IN TARANAKI. ALBION DEFAULTS TO THISTLE. The second senior trophy competition conducted by the Taranaki Football Association was commenced on Saturday with matches for the Duff Cup. Thistle won from Albion by default, Hawera beat Manaia by eight goals to nil and Stratford beat Moturoa by two goals to nil.
