MUSIC LOVERS MEET
ENTERTAINING MONTHLY MEETING. NEW PLYMOUTH PROGRAMMES. Continuing their entertaming monthly meetings, the primary, junior and intermediate branches of tlib Music Teachers’ Association, met on Saturday. So large a number of parents and members was present that Stradholme hall was filled to overflowing. The delightful programmes were interspersed with musical games and the intermediate period was followed by several recordings. Pingpong and supper concluded the evening. Performers in the primary section were:—Piano solo, Shirley Nunns; 'cello solo, Robert Davie; elocution, Kathleen Miller; choir, ?frs. Sunderland’s; vocal, Patricia Coleman; pianoforte, Joan Duxfield; violin, Jean Miles; piano, Dinah Anderson; vocal, Peter Williams; elocution, Colleen Davies; vocal duet, Ruth Sunderland and Brian Williams; elocution, Joan Duxfield; vocal, Dinah Anderson; vocal and recitation, Brian Williams.
. The junior programme was contributed by: Pianoforte, Beryl Duxfield; recitation, Muriel Lister; pianoforte, Philip Gallaher; violin. Bernard Miles; pianoforte, Archie Sunderland; vocal solo, Jean Bone; pianoforte, Rae Duxfield; vocal, Ellen Knight. For the intermediate programme the following gave items:—Pianoforte, “Nola,” Miss A. Gilbert; elocution, “The Weathers” and “Dominus Illumination,” Miss M. Struthers; ’cello solo, “Air” by Matherson, Miss M. Purdue; pianoforte solos, “Air” by Mozart and “Gliere Prelude,” Miss O. Everiss; vocal solo, “11 Bacio,” Miss J. McQueen; elocution, “The Mistake,” Miss M. Lister; pianoforte solo, “Dizzie Fingers,” Miss A. Gilbert.
