BOXING AT PATEA
ARRANGEMENTS FOR TOURNAMENT The excellent manner in which the Patea Boxing Association’s first tournament of the. season was received set a standard of entertainment difficult to imitate and very long consideration was given by the match committee to the programme for presentation in the town hall at Patea on Monday. The main bout will be a professional encounter between Hutchens (Eltham) and “Kid” Fisher (Great Britain). Hutchens is well known to Taranaki ’ enthusiasts and Fisher, although a newcomer to the Dominion, has already attracted favourable attention in the centres. The programme ' also includes a battle for the middle‘weight trophy donated by Mr. L. R. Davies, Alton, between K. Fitzwater and K. Reid. Other matchings include V. Gordon (Patea) V. Fred Finneghan (Wellington), D. Fitness v. Fred Mclvor (Wellington), P. Schumanski (Tariki) v. Pennial (Eltham), D. Hamblyn (Alton) v. I. Butchart (Hawera), J. Tanner (Patea) v. C. Hart (Hawera), G. Amon (Alton) v. S. Anderson (Tariki).
