Hounds thrpw off from the house, working to Mr. Nicholson’s property, where a hare was found in the bush and led a merry chase but was lost in the swamp. A hare was soon raised in Mr. Sampson’s place, and with hounds in full cry, riders following closely, excellent jumping was witnessed by the spectators. and followers enjoyed a hard and fasi run over the properties of Messrs. Stonnell, the hare doubling back to Nicholson’s, then turning sharply into Oliver’s, where the hounds lost the scent again. Once again near the close of the afternoon another was started, and circled round over well sparred country, covering more oi' less the same ground as the * other, but the hounds lost the scent in Nicholson’s bush.
