POINT-TO-POINT ARRANGEMENTS. General arrangements for the Taranaki Hunt Club’s point-to-point meeting on thfe New Plymouth on August 3 Were completed at a meeting of the committee at NeW Plymouth oh Wednesday night. The following programme Was- approved: Twb-yedr-bld parade, 1 piiii.»' boys’ flat race, 4 furlbhgs, 1.20 P-m.; trial hunters steeplechase, 2 miles, 1.40 p.td.; ladies’ flat race, 5 furlongs, 2 first class hunters’ steeplechase, 2J miles, 2.20 p.m.; four furlongs flutter fof horses in training, 2.40 p.m.; ladies’ steeplechase, 11 miles, 3 p.m.; pony races fdr school ponies, 2.30 p.fn.; handicap flat raefe, 6 furlongs, ‘3.40 p.m. All entries, will close on July 27. ' Messrs. Ben Tippins and A. J. Kibby gave -trophies. A sub-committee was appointed to at* range for jumps. Mr. F. J. Hill is tb be asked to take charge of tha gates, and Mrs. Standish to form a Women’s committee to serve afternoon tea. Messrs. A. Life, 'C. B. Webster, V. Neil and others will be asked to assist With the meetJ 1 motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Mr. J. McKelvie. There were present Messrs. A. R. Standish (chairman), W. D. Graham, R., H. Gebrge, C. and R. Topless, Percy and I. Cole, A. J. Kibby, R. Foreman, P. Sampson, C. Hbncyfield. Rangitikei Hunt. Nominations for all events for the Rangitikei Hunt Club’s annual totalisalor meeting at Marton will close with the secretary, Mr. A. Way, l Marton, at 9 o’clock to-night. The meeting will mark the opening of the West Coast hunt circuit and is likely to draw hunters from Taranaki.
