CLOSING DURING FLOOD DECIDED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., June 20. A decision to close the main highway at Whirokino, south of Foxton, to all traffic in flood time was made by the Manawatu County Council following reports that heavy lorries, though able to go through, did considerable damage to the soft surface.
