Bargain-hunting in New Plymouth is a lucrative occupation these days, especially since Scanlans started their annual winter sale at the Melbourne Corner. This yearly event is widely known for its genuineness and the management claim that the sale just commenced is more entitled to that distinction than any of its predecessors. However, the public can judge for themselves. The goods in the windows and also the interior display have the sale prices clearly marked for all to see. Visitors welcome.*
