Mrs. J. Cudby left during the week to spend a holiday at Wanganui. Miss Peggy Cyompton left on Thursday to spend a holiday with relatives at Hurleyville.

A large 'party of young people paid a surprise visit to the residence of Mr, and Mrs. A. Gamlin, Lower Glen Road, on Tuesday to bid farewell to Miss M. Gamlin, who will leav? shortly to take up a position near Mt. Messenger. Mr. A. M. Mac Diarmid, op behalf of all present, expressed regret at Miss Gamlin’s departtire. Miss Gamlin was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Mr. Mac Diarmid on behalf of the basketball team and friends made a presentation to Miss .Gamlin.
