Foreman, Tikorangi, entertainn ed on Wednesday afternoon. * Mrs. W. Jonas, Nikorima Road, has returned from a visit to Tauranga. ‘ Mrs. I. Tate left on Thursday to live at New Plymouth. Miss Knight has returned from Roto- ’ rua. Mrs. T. Carr entertained on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Smith has returned to Tauranga after spending a holiday with her sister, s. Mrs. W. Jonas. r Mrs. P. J. Allen was hostess at » t bridge evening on Thursday. On Monday evening members of the 5 Clifton Football Club entertained the 1 women’s committee and the successful I candidate in the recent carnival at a 1 social held in the soldiers' club room. 1 Cards and dancing were enjoyed. ’ Miss A. Wells, who has been visiting Nelson, has returned home. Mrs. A. Robertson, Hawera, is visiting Waitara as the guest of Mrs. H. I. Chittenden.
