SLOW BIDDING

PUREBRED JERSEYS OFFERED. STRATFORD CATTLE CLUB SALE. Bidding was slow and prices definitely in favour of the buyers at the Stratford Jersey Cattle Club’s sale of purebred Jersey females at Stratford yesterday. Forty-seven head were offered, 30 incalf heifers and 17 cows, on -behalf of four vendors, Messrs. Clemow Bros., H. J. Kaye, A. T. Mander and E. J. KirkWood, and 39 were sold. Mr./Kirkwood put a reserve on seven of his .eight heifers that.failed to agree with buyers’ opinions, but . the rest were put up without reserve. ... The average price for the Sale was just over 6J guineas; heifers averaged just under seven guineas and cows about ,5J guineas. Top price fdr the sale was brought by Messrs.
