YOUNG MUSICIAN’S TRIUMPH
STIR CAUSED IN GREAT BRITAIN ' ; A band that was recently heard on the air for the first time in England, has caused quite a stir in the musical world. It was led by Franz Vienna, now only 28, son of the most prominent figure of Vienna’s musical and theatrical world.. < ? > ’ . He is better known in Great Britain for his recent compositions, for which he is responsible either entirely or in collaboration. They include such favourites as “Marching Along Together,” “I Raised My Hat,” “Song of the Bells,” “Vienna, You’ve Stolen my Heart,” “’m Gonna Wash My Hands of You,” “For Love of You,” and “The Wedding of Mr Mickey Mouse.” Young Franz Vienna started learning the piano at the .age of five, the violin at seven, and before he was 11 he composed waltzes and chamber music. At 19 Franz became second, and a year later first musical director at th? Stadt Theatre; Vienna. His wife is Grete Natzler, the soprano film star, who originally went to England to play in "Casanova” at the Coliseum. Shortly she is to take the part of Du Barry in the film of that name.
