MATRON WAS AWAY

UNEXPECTED VISIT BY QUEEN. LONDON HOME FOR INCURABLES. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, May 30. Queen Mary paid a totally unexpected visit to the Home for Incurables at Streatham to-day and in' the absence of the matron was received by one of the sisters. She made a tour of the hospital and grounds where among many patients she met one who recalled Their Majesties’ last visit to the institution in 1908. News of the visit soon spread and when the Queen left the hospital she was cheered by a large crowd.
