Menace of Air Service.

Another aspect of the proposed Eng-. land-New Zealand, air route was mentioned by Mr. H. A. Hunt at the meeting of the Farmers’ Union executive at New Plymouth yesterday. With a 14 days service operating, he suggested there was a possibility of aeroplanes bringing material infected with the virus of foot-and-mouth disease, and so in-, troducing the scourge into New Zea-' land. The meeting appreciated the possibility, and decided to bring the matter before the Government in a resolution urging the enforcement of precautions against the introduction of foot-and-mouth disease by any possible means.
