RAHOTU CARNIVAL
. SELECTION OF CANDIDATES. At a meeting at Rahotu last Wednesday to consider the baby carnival in aid of church funds about 20 parishioners were present. Mrs. H. Clark: presided and Mrs.' Buttler was secretary. The candidates are Mrs. G. Wells’ son, "beach baby and Mrs. A. Wadsworth’s son “bush” baby. The bush district is on the mountain side of the main road, while the beach is .he opposite side. Mrs. H. Clarke was appointed president for the bush committee. Mrs. Fairhurst and Mr. Fairhurst were appointed joint secretaries. Mrs. K. Andrews is a patient in a New Plymouth hospital. Mrs. Ernest is in the New Plymouth hospital. Mr. and Mrs. F. Billing, Hawkes Bay, are staying with his brothers in the district.
Mrs. Beer is the guest of Mrs. L. Billing. Mrs. W. Fairhurst and her two sons are visiting Stratford.
