MISS C. V. SHAW’S DEATH

POPULAR RADIO ENTERTAINER. Miss Clara V. Shaw died at New Plymouth yesterday after a serious illness. She had not been in good health for some time. Miss Shaw joined the New. Plymouth staff of the Bank of New Zealand in 1920 and during the 15 years of. her employment there proved an efficient' and conscientious worker. Her .-heerfulness and her sympathetic co-operation won her a wide circle of friends. Listeners to Station 2YB often had the pleasure of hearing her over the air. She had a sweet voice and her musical talent was glways appreciated. Miss Shaw, who was a member of a well-known Taranaki family, is survived by her father sister and two brothers. Her sister and " ther live at New Plymouth, while one brother is in the National Bank at Wellington and the other is with the New Zealand Insurance Company at Gisborne. • •
