OCEAN AIR SERVICES
ELIMINATION OF COMPLICATIONS. SERIES OF TREATIES NEGOTIATED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 8.40 p.m. Washington, April 24. By a series of treaties eliminating diplomatic complications the way has been opened for the development of trans-oceanic air services, both American and foreign. A newly signed agreement with Britain snipping off the yards of red tape heretofore necessary for flights from one country to another is disclosed as one of a large and growing number of such agreements already in effect with Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy South Africa and most of the countries of the western hemisphere. One is to be negotiated with Australia soon. The effect of the Anglo-American treaty is explained as providing for routine issuance to an American pilot of a license to fly over any of the British areas named in the agreement. A British pilot will receive the same concessions regarding American areas.
