MISSING FOR 11 DAYS
YOUNG MATAPU WOMAN \ POLICE CONDUCTING A SEARCH. ANXIETY OF GIRL’S PARENTS. CLOTHING PROBABLY CHANGED. Missing from her home at Matapu since 6.30 p.m. on Saturday, ,April 6, Edna Riley, aged 20 years, is being sought by the police. Her parents are anxious to know her whereabouts and descriptions have been broadcast from Auckland and New Plymouth. Of medium build, five foot two inches in height, full-faced, with dark complexion and dark hair and eyes, Edna Riley has a very noticeable deformity in the pupil of the left eye. When last seen she was wearing black dungarees and gumboots but it is thought probable that she has changed into some of her feminine clothes since then. These would consist of a black straw hat. a blue woollen • beret with two yellow stripes in it, a dark blue woollen beret and four dresses (one purple, one blue, one white with red spots and one red with white lines). She had also a man s green oilskin coat, black patent leather shoes and white canvas shoes.
