HOSPITAL APPOINTEE

RADIOLOGIST FOR AUCKLAND. NEW ZEALANDER SUCCESSFUL. By Telegraph—Press Association.; Auckland, Last Night. The appointment of Dr. William Wallace, Main as radiologist at the Auckland hospital was made at a meeting of the hospital board. The applications consisted of five forwarded by the High Commissioner, including that of a Bavarian, one from Sydney and one from New Plymouth, that of Dr. C. D. Costello. Dr. Main’s application showed that he was bom at Dunedin and graduated, at Otago University. He was a house stirgeon at the Auckland hospital from 1930 to 1931. He has had experience in radiology since 1932 and his present post is senior assistant medical officer in the radiological department of the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
