EUCHRE AND DANCE

RAWHITIROA GATHERING.

The first of a series of euchre parties And dances to be conducted by the Rawhitiroa hall committee during the winter was held in the hall on Friday evening. There was a’ goodf attendance in spite of the wintry conditions and an enjoyable time was spent. Prizewinners were: Mrs. Gernhoeffer and Miss Thomas, Miss Thomas winning the playoff; Mr. L. O’Connor 1, Messrs. G. Thame, F. Tipler, J. Hewitt and S. Death tied, the last winning the play-off. After supper a dance was held, the' music being played by Miss Gwen Silver, with extras by Mr. P. O’Connor. Mr. S. Johnston was master of ceremonies.
