BASKETBALL AT WAITARA
ANNUAL MEETING OF THE CLUB’. 'Tlie annual meeting of the Raleigh Basketball Club was held at Waitara on Tuesday. Mr. \T. - Taylor presided over a good attendance., It was reported that the club had had a very satisfactory season and a credit balance of about £2 was in hand to commence the season. Officers elected were: Patron, Mr. J, Hine; president. Mr. T. Taylor; vicepresidents, Mesdames J. Bristol and Earp and Messrs. J. Parry and E. A. George; secretary, Mrs. R. Grant; delegates to association, Miss N. Brookes and Mrs. R. Grant; committee, Misses J. Worthington, G. Bristol, L. Stead and J. Simpson. It was decided to enter two teams in the Thursday competition instead of one Thursday and one Saturday team as in the past, and to make inquiries with a view to reducing travelling expenses this year.
