POPPY DAY APPEAL

NORTH TARANAKI COLLECTORS. ARRANGEMENTS FOR COUNTRY. Arrangements are well advanced for Poppy Day, April 12, in North Taranaki, and the public will hardly need reminding of the urgent need for assistance this year. The Returned Soldiers’ Association relies almost entirely on the money raised on Poppy Day for its work among ex-servicemen, and it is confidently expected that the public will make every .effort on their behalf. Poppies for the country districts are again, being dispatched earlier to enable a thorough canvass of Lie districts. No part of the money collected in the appeal is used in administration expenses.
