AERODROME AT 10,500 FEET. CONSTRUCTION BY INDIANS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Calcutta, March 28. Construction of an aerodrome 10,500 feet abbve sea level, one of the highest in the world, is planned by the Indian Airways Company for the conveyance of pilgrims to Badrinath, which is famous for pilgrimages because it is near the source of the sacred Ganges River. There will probably be difficulties in taking off at such a height, but it is hoped that special aircraft will meet, the The pilgrims’ present land route is 400 miles and takes eight week?. They have to cross mountain passes and dangerous rivers, whereas the aeroplapes take six hours.
