KITCHEN TEA AT WAREA
MARRIAGE OF MISS N. PUTT. There was a good attendance at a kitchen tea given recently in the Warea Hall for Miss N. Putt. On behalf of the members of the Women’s Institute, Mrs. L. Donald presented Miss Putt with a crystal rosebowl and Mr. D. Wells (football club) presented her with a set of carvers. Mr. D. Collins replied for Miss Putt, who was given a bouquet by Mrs. Donald. Miss F. Smith played for dancing. Mr. C. Sole was master of ceremonies. An extra was played by Miss B. Doyle. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss N. Putt and Mr. L. Cooper. Members of the institute were in charge of the supper arrangements. A pleasant afternoon was spent at the residence of Mrs. T. Putt, Warea Road, when she entertained members of the Women’s Institute and other friends to mark the approaching marriage of her daughter. Personal Item. Mrs. P. Chapman and Misses E. Meier and N. Wells spent the week-end at Auckland. ' General News. At the winding-.up meeting of the Cape Egmont Horticultural .Society a credit balance of over £2 was shown. A donation was made to the Warea Hall Society. The Warea Tennis Club won the Moron Shield, having lost only one match in the two rounds.
