WAVERLEY
Field, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. W. Macfarlane. Mrs. B. Hooper, Suva, who is touring New Zealand with her husband and son, was the guest of Mrs. A. G. Wallace, “Awatea.”' Miss P. Jackson, who had been visiting Mrs. E. Parsons, returned to Auckland on Friday/ Mrs. S. Agar, Wellington, has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. I. Lupton, “Lakeside,” Waverley. Miss J. Parsons left last week for a holiday at Auckland and Cambridge. Mrs. E. McGregor and her two small sons are visiting Whangarei. Miss M. Alexander left on Thursday for Tauranga. A competition afternoon was held on the Waverley . croquet lawns on Thursday. There was a full attendance of members. A small presentation was made to Mrs. R. P. Palmer, who will leave for England in a few weeks’ time. Mrs. Palmer was secretary of the club for the last two seasons. Mrs. G. Alexander, vice-president, presented Mrs. Palmer with a fountain pen and expressed good wishes for a pleasant trip. Competitions were won as follows:— Skittles, Mrs. Parsons; peg balls, Mrs. Mitcalfe; golf croquet doubles, Mesdames Bromiley and Barrow.
