insurance fund breaking down, as it was very valuable io players. The delegates were instructed to support the continuance of the insurance fund.

At a subsequent meeting of the executive Mr. K. C. Jury was re-elected chairman.

Mr. George Loveridge moved that it be a recommendation to the annual meeting that the management committee’s nominee on the representative selection committee should be appointed as an arbitrator to the two official selectors and that the title of chairman be amended to read arbitrator.

Within the last two years at the annual meeting of delegates two selectors for the representative teams were appointed usually one from the south and one from the north, Mr. Loveridge said; Later the management committee appointed a third man whom it was originally intended should be an arbitrator. Of late years the executive nominee had taken the position of chairman and “overlorded” the two selectors who were appointed by the delegates. He held that the two selectors should select the team and that the management committee’s representative should be called in at their behest when necessary to settle a deadlock.

The motion was seconded by Mr. H. Nodder and carried. Mr. C. Brown said that the arbitrator unless he had some say would not be encouraged to go round and view the matches. It was decided to vote £1 Is each to the St. John Ambulance Association and the North Taranaki Referees’ Association. Mr. L. H. Honeyfield made an appeal to members of the club to show their appreciation of the work of the ladies’ social committee by attending the various gatherings instead of leaving it all to the outside public.
