ACCURATE REPORTS

JUDGE COMPLIMENTS THE PRESS.

NEW PLYMOUTH COURT CASES. The Press reports of court matters at New Plymouth were the most accurate in New Zealand as far as he was aware, said His Honour Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme Court at New Plymouth yesterday. Two newspaper clippings of previous lower court proceedings were put in as exhibits during a petition for adjudication of bankruptcy by a creditor and Mr. Justice Blair made his remarks after perusing them. “You are very fortunate at New Plymouth in that you have the most accurate court reports that I know of any-’ where in New Zealand,” said His Honour. .“There are places, which are looked upon as of more importance than New Plymouth, but they are not, so far as court reporting goes. It is very refreshing to me to come here and find such a standard.”
