SCHOOL COMMITTEES NECESSARY. VALUE OF EDUCATION BOARDS. “I am of the opinion,” said the Hon. S. G. Smith (Minister of Education) at the West End school jubilee gathering last night, “that it is absolutely necessary that both education boards and school committees should be retained; if education is going to make progress in | New Zealand.
