DEATH OF MRS. JULL

MEMBER OF JUBILEE COMMITTEE. PROMINENT CROQUET PLAYER. The funeral of Mrs. F. C. Jull, who died in the New Plymouth hospital on Sunday after a short illness, took place at Te Henui cemetery yesterday. Mrs. Jull had been one of the West End school jubilee committee’s most active workers during the months of preparation preceding the jubilee and her death occurred on the very day the celebrations began. The funeral cortege was long and representative. Messrs. C. O. Berg and W. H. Jones represented the jubilee committee. A large number of wreaths included tributes from the jubilee committee and the West End Croquet Club. The Ven. Archdeacon G. H. Gavin officiated at the graveside.

Mrs. Jull was born at Melbourne in 1889, her father being the late Mr. H. Higgs. She came to New Zealand as a child of six, residing with her parents in Courtenay Street. Later she married Mr. F. C. Jull. Her particular interest was the development of the croquet club at Western Park, ’ She took a prominent part in its affairs and was latterly keenly interested in the jubilee celebrations of the West End school, at which she had been a pupil. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. H. Higgs, her husband and two children. Mesdames H. C. Evans (Te Kuiti) and W. Way (New Plymouth) are sisters and Messrs. A. Higgs and S. Higgs brothers.
