ANNUAL SESSION OPENED. PRESENTATION OF PRESIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Las Night. The opening session of the s annual conference of the Methodist Church was held to-night. The retiring president, the Rev. Clarence Eaton, presided at the opening service, and at the conclusion the president for the coming year, the Rev. J. H. Haslam, was presented. Mr. William Charles Francis, Christchurch, was elected vice-president unopposed in place of Mr. J. T. Johnston, Te Awamutu. The Rev. E. P. B. Blamires was elected president-elect for 1936 by a large majority, and a ballot for the position of secretary for 193 resulted in the Rev. W. A. Burley being unanimously re-elected.
