ENTRIES CLOSE NEXT FRIDAY. The Taranaki A. and P. Shew will this year be held at New Plymouth on Wednesday and Thursday, March 6 and 7, and intending exhibitors should carefully note that entries will finally close on Friday night next, February 22, at 9 o’clock. The prize list embraces a wide range of classes for pedigree and grade dairy cattle of all ages, draught and light horses, stud and flock sheep, purebred and pork and bacon pigs. There are numerous classes for riding, driving, jumping and other ring events, while the boys and girls are catered for in classes for school ponies, pet lambs, and calves reared under boys and girls’ clubs rules. A sheep dog trial is included in the schedule of events. Copies of the prize list will be posted free to any address on application to the secretary, Mr. W. P. Okey. whose postal address is P.O. Box 18, New Plymouth, and telephone number 87.
