STOCK SALE AT FEILDING
BREEDING EWES IN DEMAND. The Feilding stock sale was held on Saturday to avoid clashing with the annual ram fair, states the report of Dalgety and Co. Ltd. As it was an off-day there was a small attendance. A good yarding of sheep and lambs came forward and, with competition good throughout, very few lines failed to change hands. Breeding ewes were in better demand than previously and, with the exception of inferior lots, prices firmed on recent sales. Store wethers were not wanted to the same degree, the major portion being passed in. Store lambs were wanted and any lines fit for rape feeding were held firmly to the best of recent rates. Several lines of small, lowconditioned lambs were penned, but sold slightly under previous prices. The sale was a sound one, with almost a complete clearance- Only, an odd pen of cattle was yarded.
