Following the death in hospital of Denis Moysey, aged 19, one of the two youths on the motor-cycle with which the Northants cricketer Jupp collided on January 12, Jupp was charged with manslaughter. He was not present in Court, a doctor stating that accused was suffering with concussion and multiple injuries, causing insomnia, and nocturnal delirium, necessitating soporific drugging. The prosecuting counsel said that the police officers visited Jupp and found him normal. He regarded the doctor's evidence as unsatisfactory. The case was adjourned to January ( 22.
