PROVISION OF PLAYGROUNDS. ’ WILL OF NELSON BENEFACTOR. By Telegraph—Press Association. ' Nelson, Last Night. Under the will of the late Mr. R. B. Jackson, Nelson, a certain sum was left to be expended on the provision of children’s playgrounds in the city. The executors of the estate have decided to purchase a property in Waimea Street. The area will be suitably equipped as a children’s recreation ground, part of which will be grassed and part laid down' with a prepared surface. When completed it will be handed over to the city. Other schemes for the provision of similar areas in various parts of the city are under consideration by the executors of the estate.
