SERIOUS CHARGE
REMAND AT NEW/PLYMOUTH. j>' CARPENTER BEFORE COURT. A man aged 47 years, described as a carpenter, whose name was suppressed, appeared on two charges of incest at the Magistrate’s Court, New Plymouth, yesterday. The persona alleged to have beep concerned were the two daughters of the accused. Detective A. B. Meiklejohn, who appeared for the police, asked for a remand until Monday and Mr. H. S. T. Weston, who appeared for the accused, asked for temporary suppression of the name, particularly in view of the state of health of the accused’s wife. Both applications were granted.
