FAIR WEATHER EXPECTED
MODERATE WESTERLY WINDS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather for the most part will be fair but with considerable cloud and a few scattered showers, mainly in the South 'island, according to the 4 p.m. forecast. Temperatures are becoming cooler in the South island. . Winds will be westerly, backing to southerly. They will be moderate generally but strong at first about Foveaux Strait and on parts of the east coast of the South Island. Seas in New Zealand waters will be rather rough south of Castlepoint, but elsewhere moderate. In the eastern Tasman Sea there will be moderate to fresh easterly winds in the northern portion with rather rough seas. Moderate southerly winds and moderate seas are expected in the central and southern portions. A moderate anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea and TTew Zealand while a depression appears to be developing over the north-west Tasman Sea.
