The principal results were:— STANDISH HANDICAP. Of £750. Six furlongs. PRESS GANG, 9.3 (Skidmore) 1 COUNT ITO, 8.1 (Breasley) 2 OGWELL, 8.1 (J. Maher) 3 Seventeen started, including Epigram (New Zealand). One and a-quarter lengths; half a neck. Time, lm ll%s. BAGOT HANDICAP. Of £lOOO. One mile and a-half. PICATUS, 7.13 (Skidmore) 1 ROBERT, 7.1 (Preston) 2 BURLESQUE, 8.8 (O'Brien) 3 All 12 started. Head; one and a-half lengths. Shatter (New Zealand) was last. Time, 2m SOl&s. Lady Primrose wag unplaced in the Stradbroke Stakes. Quarto and Hunting Morn were unplaced in the January Handicap. Salt Spray and Palm Queen were unplaced in the Welter Handicap. CUEESON’S PERTH CUP. SECOND WIN IN SUCCESSION. Perth, Jan. 1. For the second year in succession Cueeson won the Perth Cup (two miles), the result being:— CUEESON, 8.2 (Dodd) 1 DILEMMA, 8.0 (Cooper) 2 GAME PIE, 7.0 (O’Brien) 3 Sixteen started. Three lengths; one and three-quarter lengths. Time, 3m 28s.
