PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. Mrs. Collins, Feilding, is visiting Ta? riki as the guest of Mrs. S. Horsnell. Miss Ela Taylor, Surrey Road, who has been an inmate of the Stratford hospital, returned home for Christmas. Miss R. Eustace visited Okato for Christmas.

Mr. J. Marr spent Christmas at Okato. Mr. and Mrs. F. Butler and family, Te Teko, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. James sent., Surrey Road. Mrs. H. Kerr, Surrey Road,. accompanied by her son and sister, Miss Foster, is on holiday at New Plymouth. The following visitors stayed at the Tariki Hotel during Christmas week: Mr. Wallace (Patea), Mr. and Mrs. Barty (Wellington), Mrs. Algar (Wellington), Miss Bust (Wellington), Mr. Menzies (Wanganui) and Mr. Armstrong (Chrisijrchurch).

The following were the winners in the cake competition for the Tariki Hockey Club: Ruby Gush (Tariki), No. 26, 1; Mrs. B. Wheeler (New Plymouth), No. 90, 2.
