WOMEN’S CRICKET WITH OTAGO. FIRST GAME AT INVERCARGILL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. The first women’s interprovincial cricket match to be played at Invercargill was commenced when Southland and Otago met to-day. The weather was fine and the outfield dead. Southland batted first and was dismissed for 32. H. Johnson took three for 1, M. Hollis two for 4 and E. Knowles two for 9. In the second innings Southland has lost four for 20. Otago in the first innings made 99, L. Miller 40, M. Bishop 21 and V; Gar? land 15. E. Ferguson took six for 22.
