FRANKLEY ROAD CONCERT
SUNDAY SCHOOL’S PRIZE GIVING. At the recent concert and prize-giving of the Frankley Road Sunday school nearly every child gained a prize, including four pupil® by correspondence from Midhirst. Ronald Shepherd was dux of the schoo’ and Eulalie Sturgeon gained top marks among the girls. The financial report revealed an of £lB 12s B%d, expenditure of £l9 16s Bd, with a balance in hand at October of £1 16s 7d. ' .. There was a. ChrLstmas tree for junior children and each child present received a bag of sweets. The concert programme included hymns by the children, songs by Eutelte Sturgeon and Betty Hart, duet by Dorothy Farnham and Eulalie Sturgeon and recitations by Trevor Okey, Charlie Hart, Betty Hart and Trevor Hart. Mr. 4. Ccbb was chairman. General and Personal. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Thomas are visiting Wellington. _ , , Those residents on Frankley Road who own orchards are able to use early apples for cooking purposes.
