GIRL ELECTROCUTED

SOUGHT BALL ON A ROOF. Kathleen Emery, aged nine, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Emery, of Sorell, Tasmania, was electrocuted at her home recently. She was playing with a brother and sister, and climbed on to the roof of the house to retrieve a ball. The house lighting mains were touching portion of the galvanised iron, arid the girl collapsed immediately she touched the electrified portion.

Three-quarters of an hour elapsed before the current could be cut off and the body removed from the -oof. Mr. Emery suffered severe shocks while attempting to release his daughter.
