Invercargill, Last Night The Southland Tennis Association’s annual tournament was, with the exception of the final of the men’s doubles and women’s singles, concluded to-day. Rain at intervals caused delays. The championship finals resulted:— Men’s singles: G. Pearce (Dunedin) beat R. McCallum (Invercargill) 7—5, 9-7, 2-6, 3-6, 6—3. Boys’ singles: L. Gray beat C. Breen 6 —l, 6—4. Women’s doubles: Misses Weavers and Baikie (North Otago) defeated Misses Rein and Cutt (Invercargill) 9—4. Girls’ singles: Miss J. Lamon beat Miss J. Kelly 9-1.
