SPECTATOR CAUSES ACCIDENT. BOTH MEN SUFFER INJURIES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Dec. 27. Lionel Radford, a prominent racing cyclist, met with an accident yesterday while competing in the three-mile race at the Little River annual sports. He received head injuries. Radford was riding fast in the second lap, and, helped by a slight grade, was at top speed when a Maori, Peter Taylor, stepped out on to the track. An official pulled him back but he was not quick enough. Radford knocking him down. Taylor received head injuries, as did Radford, who was sent to hospital. His condition is satisfactory.
