THREE SKULLS FOUND IN WOODEN BOX

DETECTIVES MAKE NEEDLESS GARDEN RAID QWIFT drama was enacted shortly ° before dawn recently in the quiet holiday resort of Severn Beach, on the Gloucestershire bank of the River Severn. A car-load of detectives swooped down on a neglected garden behind a beach cafe and took charge of a decaying wooden box from which a battered skull had fallen when it was found by a beachcomber. The box was removed to the police station and opened. Two other skulls and other human bones were revealed! But it all turned out to be nothing extraordinary, for the bones bore the obvious marks of post-mortem work and the police were satisfied that they had been used for anatomical purposes.
