Despite the fact that the largest acreage was planted since 1931, the winter wheat yield for 1935 Is estimated by the Department of Commerce to be 475,000,000 bushels, an increase of 75,000,000 bushels over that for 1934, but 157,000,000 bushels below the 1927-31 average.
