In a series of carefully timed raids to-day hundreds of Federal operatives in major cities from Boston to San Francisco moved against the distributors of narcotics. It was announced that they made 467 arrests and confiscated a large amount of “dope.” It is said the campaign will be vigorously pressed against addicts as well as smugglers’ peddlers. *
